[from the old thread - "Re: [H] Printer trouble post blackout?"]

As of 1120hrs, yesterday, my New Brother printer is printing on my LAN again.
The old thread above can be closed at this time.

Special thanks to Thane for the hint to use GhostBuster.exe. This is
now a permanent tool!

Special thanks to John for confirm of using 'Standard tcp/ip port(s)'.
Yes, I use nothing else. Have not seen an old Printer Cable in 10yrs; and,
do not own a USB cable long enough to try USB logic! TANKS JRS!
Yes, I think my ARPS tables are all reset!

I remain confused and a bit frustrated about the hoops I have jumped through.
I sure hope the next power outage does not take 14 days to recover!

One thing is abundantly clear. This Collective of ours RULEZ! Brother tried to
help, but as soon as they could, they shut down and said MS was to blame.
I now suspect that their may be a background kerfuffle between Brother
(their NC-6800h print server) and MS current programming. Fine.
A Giant PITA between them is now over................... :)
Thank you all,
Duncan
