I've not had any issues no matter which way round the wires have been.
I've seen a few mainboards where the legend on the board was a mirror
image of that in the manual.

When I first noticed this I did test to see if they were right or
swapped over.  It didn't make any difference.

I use the m/b pin interface as my basis. Should my case wires be
reversed, I swap the +/- wires to agree with the m/b UM display.
What a PITA!
