[H] Wireless USB KB/Mouse and Windows Install

I was helping a friend yesterday build up  system at his house.  We got 
the thing together and were at the install Win7 stage. This is after we 
had been into the bios to fiddle with various setting, including the 
boot order and stuff.  So, at the stage where we try to install Win7, it 
all of a sudden won't take input from the keyboard or mouse, which are 
on wireless and connect to a USB port.  It worked fine in the PC bios, 
but not in Win7 setup.

Of course, this dude didnt' have any other kb/m to be seen..and we are 
at his house (obviously, I have too much of this kind of crap, but he is 
a normal guy).  What is the solution here?  Also, this intel mobo does 
NOT have a ps2 kb/mouse connector.  We plan to try again with a wired 
mouse and kb, but they are usb.
