Thane/John,
Pax Vobiscum!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
"Hey! Mikey likes it!!"

All my FF clients now run v9.0.1!
Pleasantly surprised at the new Installer logic.
I even like the FF/Chrome GUI. I also like that 901 still
'looks' very much the same. 901 is very quick!

I can wait for Mozilla and Oracle to sort out their Java (7upd2) concerns.
Minor grump; this new Java is needed for my ReadyNAS apps!
Happy to see Mozilla recognizes the V11 Flash player I use.

Local add-ons: FlagFox v4.1.10, NoScript v2.2.4.
Do not mind that 901 disabled my Dot-Net 1.0 extension!
(No, have not upgraded to v4.x Dot-net yet.......)

I also 'disabled' these old Plugins:
Google Update 1.3.21.79
MS DRM 9.0.0.4503
MS DRM 9.0.0.4503 (unk why duplicate?)
Win Presentation Foundation 3.5.30729.1

Good year-end update!
Best,
Duncan

omg! Old Uncle Rumple has been asleep. I'll put FF9 on my test
XP client today for a look/see.

The only tasks I use IE8 for are banking and bill-payment.
And then, only to fully secure (?) sites.
I did try IE9 early this year; but, found it really tough to drive
and/or navigate the gui. Perhaps it is 'back-to-school' for me.

Think I will back out and just copy this thread!

My use of FF Browser has never been good enough to decide and kill
IE8 (probably not quite locked down properly).

If you're using IE8 Duncan, then I'd recommend you move to FF9 right away and dump IE.
