That's true of any free service from anyone.

I've had my own domain for a while now, but I'm tired of constantly having
to deal with spam management etc.

What do I do?  Set auto-forward to my gmail and let gmail handle it.  If
that breaks, I'll just move to another service like hotmail, rinse and
repeat.
