I thought this plaque was over. >:-o

I retired in 08 but as a favor to a old friend who was starting a new business I build him 5 computers in 09. MB was a Asus m2n-e with a AMD X2 6400 on the main machine which serves as server ( so to speak ) other units were intel core 2's with p5kpl's. ( had really good luck with that mb)

system been acting up but running, 9 puffed and some leaking caps. system was very *dusty* inside with lots of fuzz on the cpu fins. system not running on a UPS AFAIK.

PSU checks OK. For some reason I have a spare am2 mb so I guess I got lucky this time. MB is a new asus m2a-vm.

not a question just a rant about these darn caps. seems like I have seen more AMD boards with bad caps then intel but I have seen them all, including factory built.

hohoho
and I am supposed to be retired :'(
off for the grind, hope I can remember how to.
thanks
fp
