Good guess, but it just booted fine on my game system, fairly new - Win7
and using AHCI.
These other three systems are brand new out of the box, two custom
builds (different) and a Dell.
Anyway, I'm checking out Hirens BootCD for the time being...

What BSOD is it? You may have AHCI turned on and not have the drivers
installed on the disk?
