major project. BTW, all my HDs come with either
the latest 3yr warranty, or, a 5yr warranty.

I need to balance the cost with the benefit. I have several Sans Digital
eSata cases with 5 drives each. I populated the last one over a year ago
with 5x Samsung EcoGreen 2tb drives (for a total of 10 TB) and have not had
any problems with the enclosure. I paid $79 each for the last 2 drives I
purchased. At the time, they had 3 year warranties. I find it difficult to
justify $129 for the "same" drive with only a 1 year warranty.
