Hi Carmel, I'm in Oneonta, which is about 1/2 way between Albany and Binghamton. It's in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains about 22 miles from Cooperstown, and it's really beautiful! Although we have 2 colleges and a small extension of a 3rd one, the popultion is only about 9,000 without the students. There is a LOT of culture here, and I'm glad to be smack dab in the middle of the musical activities. We live a couple miles outside Oneonta and have about 2 1/2 acres, mostly of woods. Fresh air, sunshine, chipmunks everywhere, including in the house from time to time. We get snowed in in the wintertime and devoured by mosquitos in the summertime. This year they are particularly viscious!!! Last week I got bitten on the lip while playing my flute in an outdoor concert. I think it was a gnat bite. Stung like crazy when it bit me, but nothing got swollen or itchy. At the moment it happened I thought I would hit the ceiling, but since I was playing in a park where the sky was the ceiling I decided to stay in my chair lest I fly up so high I couldn't get back down again. (LOL) I get a lot mosquito bites each time I go out (despite using the bug spray which has been effective in past summers), and then I think of our multi-attunement Barbara and the time she got bitten next to her eye. Swamy told her to thank the mosquito for whatever it was she needed to learn from its bite. I have decided to follow his advice and have decided they are testing me and my ability to use Reiki. For bites I use Tiger Reiki and ask the red tigers to devour the venom and the black ones to soothe the area. Know what? It works! At least on most of them. I'll have to see how much Shambala Reiki does to soothe their bites. Oneonta, "The City of the Hills." A beautiful place to live.
Where near Boston do you live? My cousins on Cape Cod said they hardly got anything from Hurricane Bill. Mostly just wind and about 1/2 hour of rain. It is a very powerful energy, very cleansing. I remember learning from my level 1 training that one can accomplish about the same in 15 minutes that one would in an hour using the Usui energy. We are in a much more heightened level of consciousness now than in Dr. Usui's time, and this energy was presented to humanity because we were ready for it!
