The annual contract for the Jewish Library Association Group Athena/Spectrum automation users is now open for new members. The contract is for the year 2004. We receive a 10% discount by virtue of being part of this group now. We are nearing the 50 library mark and if we achieve this number we will be eligible for a 15% discount. If you already belong to the group and wish to continue please let me know. You do not need to send your contract number again. If you were part of the group last year and wish to drop out, please let me know.
These are the requirements. 1.You need to indicate that you wish to join our group and send me your support contract #, name of library and institution. 2. You must have the ability to have the maintenance check made out to the Rabbi Marshall R. Lifson Library of Temple Emanuel of Newton and sent to my attention, Att: Helene Tuchman Temple Emanuel of Newton, 385 Ward Street, Newton Centre MA 02459. Our Library then writes one check for the total amount and sends it to Sagebrush. You still maintain all of your independence in dealing with Tech support, sales etc. etc. We are considered a "District Library' and there is only one invoice. I do send each library a copy of the Total invoice for billing purposes. 3. All information exchange about this is conducted via email, NOT voice mail or telephone to [EMAIL PROTECTED] 4. The contract runs from Jan 2004-December 2004. Your library will receive a prorated bill for the first year in order to get you into the proper billing rotation. 5. Unfortunately Canadian libraries cannot be part of the group because of the dollar issue. 6. Important dates are: You need to notify me before October 1, 2003 that you are interested in joining the Group. You need to have the check for your maintenance bill mailed to my library by December 1, 2003. I will not be back in my library until September so please do not leave messages on my email there or telephone, I will not get them until after September.
