Hello,
I just returned from 5 weeks in Israel. I finished reading Harry
Potter #1 in Hebrew and went shopping for other books at the same
level. While at Steimatsky's in Ashkelon, I found the book HABIBI in
Hebrew and bought it. I had a discussion with the clerk about it and
mentioned that several librarians in the US had found it had an
anti-Semitic slant. The clerk had read it and did not feel that it had
such a slant. I thought that this list might be interested to know that it
is in print in Hebrew. The publisher is Yidiot Ahronot--Sifrei Hemed
(Hamad?)--translation by Rana Verbin. ISBN: 965 511 058 Printed in 2002.
