Thanks so much to all who responded to my inquiry about allowing students
to do self-checkout on an automated system. For right now, I have worked it
out so I have adult volunteers helping. At some point I may select some
trustworthy Middle School students to be my library aides and check out books.

I have another question. A woman in our Jewish community is thinking about
writing a book about the Conversos for an age group somewhere between K -
8. She is thinking perhaps a picture book. She will probably focus on
what happened to the Jews who left Spain and may concentrate on the
Conversos who settled in Mexico. She had several questions:

1. Are there any books for K - 8th in this subject area?

2. Would there be an interest/market for a book on this subject for this
age group?

3. Where can she get background information about the Jews/Conversos during
the Inquisition, Conversos who left Spain and what happened to them?

Thanks in advance for your input!
