Hi all, I am a MLIS student at Rutgers University, and I am doing a project on synagogue records. I would appreciate help on any or all of the following questions:
1) Are there any repositories that have large numbers of synagogue records? 2) I would like to hear from people who work in synagogues/temples or know personally of synagogues who have kept their records. How far back do the records go? I would especially like to hear about records in older synagogues. 3) If you have extensive records, how well have they been preserved? 4) How accessible are they? 5) If, in theory, someone would want to digitize them and make them available to the public, how would you or the synagogue higher ups feel about such a project? Please e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks for your help!
