A contest for librarians and others haSafran readers: Last evening, I was invited to the DVD release party for Trembling Before G-d, the award winning documentary film about gay and lesbian Orthodox and Hasidic Jews.
The DVD includes the feature documentary as well as the theatrical trailer; a mini featurette - "TREMBLING ON THE ROAD": A look at the life-changing movement of the film around the world; the Director's Short Film - TOMBOYCHIK; an interview with the director, with Rabbi Steve Greenberg: the first openly gay Orthodox rabbi; as well as some deleted scenes, more interviews and a discussion of "What is the Atonement Ceremony for Sexual Sins?". After the party, I thought each Jewish librarian is probably going to want a copy of this DVD for their circulation shelves. AND SO HERE IS A --QUICK-- CONTEST.
