Friends and colleagues: Many of you may be searching for that movie that came out a couple of years ago that focused on Israeli and Palestinian children -"Promises." I was searching all over to purchase it for my library and couldn't find a distributor. Fortunately a distributor has surfaced and contacted me, so I thought I would share the info. in the event that others are in search of the film. I contacted the producers and asked them to send me all the info and that is what follows this note. Please contact them directly. I am also wondering if there may be an opportunity to screen it at AJL in NY this summer it may make a good program, within a discussion of bibliographies dealing with the conflict inthe Middle East.
