Dear Listserv members, I am pleased as punch and not a little overwhelmed with the outpouring of assistance that has been offered to me today in response to my query about circulation statistics. I will write back to all of those who have written although it may take me a couple of days. You are all so helpful. I should have expected that--I was asking for help from librarians! In the few hours since I posted my original query, I've learned already that I'm going to need to develop a survey to gather and analyze this data. Your suggestions today are helping me see the first steps I need to take to do this. In the meantime, however, I will probably ask any of you who wrote to me or who subsequently write for some preliminary information. I will be grateful for any information you can share. Thank you for all the excellent suggestions and for the circulation information that is already coming in for the titles I'm interested in. If you don't hear back from me right away, you will soon.
