This issue of the Newsletter is always an exciting one because it announces the Sydney Taylor Book Award winners and is filled with news about notable Jewish children's books! Now is the time for librarians who work with children - in day schools, synagogues, centers, etc. - to plan and present programs that will introduce these outstanding books to both adults and children and assure that they are being read. If you have a program that addresses these goals, please send a description of it to either Ellen Cole or Linda Silver, the co-editors of the Children's Book REview section of the AJL Newsletter. We will print these program ideas in subsequent issues of the newsletter so that others can use them.
