Out of curiosity, why set up as a group on Yahoo?  That seems somewhat 
limiting as a venue.

There are any number of free blog spots which, for the purposes of a book 
club or discussion group, would fill the bill quite well, especially in 
terms of allowing and encouragin participation and archiving peoples' 
thoughts.  One huge benefit to avoiding Yahoo is that you and your readers 
wouldn't be subjected to their incessant advertising that distracts on 
almost every screen. Another benefit, to me, is visibility and accessibility.
