Hi Everyone, I am a librarian at Herzliah High School in Montreal. I am using the Mandarin automation system for my library. Mandarin is introducing new software that is unicode compliant and therefore one can catalogue in Hebrew. Shirley Markman at Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto and I have been using their beta site to see how the cataloguing works. One aspect that would make the Hebrew cataloguing very easy would be if another piece of software was unicode compliant. In order to do as little original cataloguing as possible I use the software Bookware to import records. My questions to you are as follows:
1. Do you use Bookware? If yes, please reply to my email [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2. How many of you would use Bookware if you could import Hebrew records as easily as one imports English (and French) records? If yes, please reply to my email. (I am trying to convince the company to become unicode compliant) Many thanks for your time. (I know replying takes time; but it is important to get the Hebrew on the yellow brick road) Henie Krishtalka Herzliah High School St Laurent Quebec 514 336 7490 Messages and opinions expressed on Hasafran are those of the individual author and are not necessarily endorsed by the AJL =========================================================== Submissions for Ha-Safran, send to: Hasafran @ lists.acs.ohio-state.edu SUBscribing, SIGNOFF commands send to: Listproc @ lists.acs.ohio-state.edu Questions, problems, complaints, compliments;-) send to: galron.1 @ osu.edu Ha-Safran Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/hasafran%40lists.acs.ohio-state.edu/maillist.html AJL HomePage http://www.JewishLibraries.org
