Hello. A new version of the convention program will be available
soon on the ajl website. This is pretty much the schedule you can
expect at the convention, barring any presenter having a sudden
change of plans. Due to some presenters' scheduling needs, some
sessions which previously had three presenters now have two, and vice
versa. Please verify the number of presenters in your session. As I
mentioned in a previous e-mail, when there are two presenters, each
person will have 30 minutes. When there are 3 presenters, each
person has 20 minutes.

A note to session chairs: As most of you know, the job of the chair
is to make sure that everything runs smoothly, i.e. starting on time
and ending on time; briefly introducing each speaker; making sure the
speakers stay within the allotted time; coordinating the question and
answer period, which follows the last speaker. You should give a
five minute warning to each speaker, so that he or she knows that it
is time to complete the presentation. To assist you in preparing
your introductory remarks about the speakers, you will find the list
of presenter biographies on the AJL website. If you need more
information about a speaker who is not an AJL member, please contact
me for the presenter's e-mail address.

I think that we have a very interesting program this year. I want to
thank all of the presenters and chairs for agreeing to
participate. I look forward to seeing you in Cambridge.
