Some of you may have noticed that the AJL web page now has a link called "Sign up for AJL E-News." Clicking on this link will direct the user to our new Constant Contact database subscriber page. This will allow us to send out electronic newsletters and announcements to people who have signed up to receive them.
This service will be especially helpful for NON-members of AJL who don't need the frequency of messages offered by Hasafran, but would just like occasional news on our activities. If you have the names and email addresses of people in your community who fit this description, please consider sending them to me for inclusion in this database. According to non-spamming rules, these must be people with whom we've had dealings before, provided services to, swapped business cards with, etc. Appropriate people would include members of local Jewish agencies, other local librarians, members of the press, library patrons, etc. I'd also like to encourage you to promote our new E-News service to your local patrons and colleagues, so that they can sign up themselves. If your library has a web page, and you would like to include a sign-up link on your page, please email me and I will send you the HTML code to insert into your web page. Thanks, everybody!
