Dear all,

We have talked about the need for Israeli dissertations quite a bit
in the beginning of the summer, and it was very clear how important
this topic is to many of us. Well, it seems that now we are getting
somewhere. CRL is in the process of acquiring dissertations from
Israel in the areas of Jewish and Israel Studies. It is a two step
process for them. They have already made the arrangements for the
standing order for all new dissertations from 2005
onward. However there is also a proposal on the CRL's table to
acquire available dissertations in the above subject areas from
previous years (step 2). Those of us who are CRL member
institutions, please make sure the person in charge of voting for
your institution ranks this proposal high. This proposal will be
competing, I am sure, with other very worthy things, so we need as
many votes for this as possible. Thank you very much for all your help.
