My budget allows me to purchase a paperback copy for each student
that signs up. I do a sign-up each month, as the book titles change
so does the # of students. Then I order that number. The book is
theirs to keep, which is part of the program. If a student did not
sign up to read that month's selection, they can still come to Café
Book, but they will need to buy their own or check it out of a
library. There have been a few kids each time that decided later,
which is fine. They have to read the entire book in order to come to
the discussion in Café Book, with lunch and Starbucks.
