DVDs are definitely more susceptible to damage. We buy dual VCR/DVD
players. I wouldn't convert any of my programs because new technology
will be replacing DVDs. It's only a matter of time in the library
market that CDs will be replaced by audiobooks for download onto MP3
players, currently available from Netlibrary, among other sources and
that DVDs will be replaced by online downloads. The DVD changes will
take longer to happen and will wait for Vista to be widely
distributed, people to upgrade to more powerful computers, and
switch to HD TV and LCD TVs and monitors.
