The University of Judaism has an opening for an Assistant Librarian at the Ostrow Library.
Duties include- 1. Manage technical services. 2. Maintain the library's Innovative Interfaces integrated library system. 3. Foster full utilization of library resources by faculty, students, and other patrons. 4. Provide support for circulation and reference desks as needed. 5. Oversee all library operations when the Director of Library Services is not available. Job Requirements 1. Ability to work independently in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. 2. Ability to plan and organize work effectively. 3. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with diverse groups. 4. Ability to train and supervise staff. 5. Ability to write clear procedural documentation for a wide variety of technical and public services tasks. Qualifications and specifications 1. Requires a Masterâs degree in Library Science (MLS) from an A.L.A. accredited program. 2. Requires 2-4 years experience in an academic library setting. 3. Requires supervisory experience. 4. Requires good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 5. Requires good computer skills. 6. Knowledge of Hebrew and Judaica preferred.
