For those of you who are not aware..the Jewish Community Library of Los Angeles runs a nationwide (Canada and Israel too) summer reading club. We collect the list of books read via email fax or mail and the JCLLA sends out a certificate and prizes..we have kids from all over the country participate, over 300 kids! West Bloomfield, Toronto, Israel, Denver, etc. schools or individuals can participate. To get them started we recommend you or someone reads to them, then they can fill out th the first line on the form. You can read more about it at www.jclla.org So many of you have your schools or classes participate and it is a joy that the JCLLA can provide the prizes and certificates, which eases the burden of your school or synagogue. Those who have participated may want to share how they make it work most effectively for them and their kids. We will be running this program again this summer.
