Dear All, We shelve the videos/DVDs in our library by general subject using the guidelines from the Jewish Heritage Video Collection. I recently had a patron complain that the movie "Mr. Saturday Night" should not be in the "comedy" section (which is where the JHVC has categorized it). She was going through a rough period in her life and this movie upset her. She said there needs to be a warning label on it and was very adamant about this point.
How do you handle the dilemma of catagorizing movies that are dark comedies or comedy/dramas? How should I have responded to this patron? Thank you!
