Shalom from Israel!

Today my family and I visited Carmei Ha'ir Soup Kitchen in Jerusalem
to deliver our second check for $18,000 from the sale of the
cookbook. The folks at the Soup Kitchen were most appreciative of our
efforts and all of you who have contributed to this amazing project.

They also told us that a wealthy man from Chicago, himself a
Survivor, got a copy of the cookbook and was so touched by it that
he has pledged a "very large donation" to Carmei Ha'ir.

To date we have raised over $120,00 for Jewish charities from the
sale of the cookbook, and we are just getting started!

Our second printing is now sold out and we are expecting another
shipment in 2 weeks.

On April 30 I will be in Skokie, IL to speak at their Yom Hashoah
service. Then on May 27
I will be speaking to the Jewish Book Council in hope that many of
their members will feature our cookbook at book fairs later this year.

Many people have asked for the address to Carmei Ha'ir. It is located
at 72 Agrippas, right near the Shook in Jerusalem. The next time
you travel to Israel please stop in and let them know that you
learned about them from the cookbook.

My family will be celebrating Pesach in Jerusalem this weekend. May
your Pesach be filled with much joy and love.

Fondly,

Joanne Caras
