Dear all, I wonder if anyone is able to give us a definitive answer to this. We are trying to fill in our holdings for the Adin Steinsaltz Talmud, Talmud Bavli / menu ad u-mevo ar al yade A in Sh ainzalts ( Yerushalayim : ha-Makhon ha-Yi re eli li-firsumim Talmudiyim, 1967-).
Exactly how many we are missing is not so easy to determine. According to some sellers' sites (see http://www.milechai.com/product/Steinsaltz_Talmud.html and http://simania.co.il/bookdetails.php?item_id=38842), a complete set is 35 vol. According to Adin Steinsaltz's own site, https://www.kipa.co.il/shop/shtainzalts/product.asp?id=155, and others, a complete set is 42 vol. (A list is given at on such site, http://www.kodeshbook.co.il/product.asp?productid=3582; but counting the list, Jasmin came up with 43 vol. [not including the Yerushalmi vol. that they list].) Yet, according to some bib records (see below), a total of 44 vol. have been published.
