Francine Prose's Anne Frank: The Book, the Life, the Afterlife delves
into the life of the 15-year-old girl to reveal an even more complex
picture than her extraordinary Diary showed. By looking at the book
and its eventual publication, we discover new truths about its
author, the book's impact, and its importance. Ernie Colón and Sid
Jacobson, perhaps best known for The 9/11 Report: A Graphic
Adaptation, have come together again to present Anne Frank in a new
graphic book about her life which will be released later this year.
Both books and their authors required detailed research in close
collaboration with the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. Don't miss this
fascinating exploration of one of the world's most read books and its
incredible 15-year-old author, led by author and New Yorker staff
writer Judith Thurman
