Are you sure the term 'Palestine' is inaccurate in the context?
If the map refers to the ancient world - which is implied by the inclusion
of 'Phoenicia' - Palestine would be correct. That term has been used to
denote the geographic area including (but not limited to) Israel 
since the time of the  Romans, who coined the term.

I believe that up until 1948 Jews themselves, including those in the 
land of Israel,
referred to 'Palestine'. It apparently didn't always have the 
implications it carries today in the context of the 
Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

On the other hand, a map of the modern Levant showing Israel as part 
of 'Palestine'
(or not on the map at all) would be incorrect.

Please check the facts carefully before labeling the book 
'inaccurate' and calling for letters of protest to the publisher, 
which may not be warranted.
