Ezra Jack Keats: Author and Illustrator

Friday, September 23, 10 AM - 12 PM
Jewish Museum - 1109 Fifth Avenue NYC 10128

Join Leonard Marcus, renowned children's book historian, author and
critic, in a discussion celebrating the legacy of Ezra Jack Keats
(Jacob "Jack" Ezra Katz). Designed specifically for school and public
librarians, this workshop also includes an opportunity to view the
special exhibition "The Snowy Day and the Art of Ezra Jack Keats."

FREE. Light refreshments will be served. Please register by September 16th.

To register, call 212-423-3225 or visit
www.TheJewishMuseum.org/WorkshopRegistration.

(I went to the session when the "Curious George Saves the Day"
exhibit was there, and it was an enjoyable and informative morning,
plus you get to see the exhibit for free).

The museum also creates educator guides based on the exhibits. Check
outhttp://www.thejewishmuseum.org/ResourcesforEducators for
information about Curious George (and the Reys), the Holocaust,
Jewish Holidays, Immigration, and more.
