/Blazing Saddles/ is NOT a "Jewish" comedy. Mel Brooks throws in the
Yiddish and Yiddish accents but this is NOT in any way Jewish or fit for
total family viewing. /Frisco Kid/, on the other hand, is an EXCELLENT
Jewish movie showing devotion to Torah and mitzvot, yet there are scenes
not suitable for all family members (the saloon scenes, the desecration
of the Torah, the attempted barrel bashing of the Rabbi...)

I agree re: some scenes in Frisco Kid being unsuitable -- my son, then
about 6
or 7 years old, cried when the bandits threw the Torah scroll on the
ground!!!
But, you were likely referring to other scenes, such as Madeline
Kahn's tour
d'force number in the saloon.
