 Are you asking about the legal aspects ?? You need to make sure that the
original donor has agreed that your library would have the right to
withdraw the books. Even if you don’t have such agreement in writing, I
believe there is some rule about the number of years passed since the
donation was done. You might want to talk to an expert.****

If your question deals with the bookplates themselves, I can tell that in
our library we try to remove the bookplate from a withdrawn book, but if
it’s too much of trouble (technically speaking), we just leave them on the
book. ****
