I have been thumbing through Volume 16/17 of Judaica Librarianship which recently arrived. There are two articles about distinctive library collections. It occurs to me how little most Jewish library users know about the existence of special collections. Would it be feasible to develop a documentary DVD which highlighted these collections? Synagogues are always looking for programs and this presentation would not only be generally informative, but could be used to develop interest and awareness of Judaica Librarianship. Further, synagogues interested in fostering their own libraries could use this as an introduction to the particular attributes of their own collections. Is anything like this available? Any thoughts?
