We had an interesting conundrum today: Do a search in WorldCat or at the Center for Jewish History for 50 Rimonim. The non-transliterated Hebrew title display is incorrect, showing the 50 at the leftmost portion of the string and רימונים at the rightmost portion of the string. Library of Congress however, displays this correctly. Our MARC record has the same 245 and 880 fields as LOC but it still renders the way it does at OCLC and CJH. We are trying to figure out if there is something wrong with the BiDi algorithm? It seems like this is a simple thing that should be accounted for in BiDi. Any ideas?
