I just updated the list of software for small libraries. it is on the web site under “Resources” I believe. It is current as of about one month ago. Interesting to note—Mandarin has a program they are offering free of charge. It does accept Hebrew! Also, Resourcemate will be offering a new edition that accepts Hebrew. OPALS is an open source program that has a union catalog of the Avi Chai schools. Susan Dubin Off-the-Shelf Library Services

Thanks, all. LOIS RUBY Author of The Secret of Laurel Oaks and Strike! Although it’s not annotated, there are links to the web sites of most of the systems mentioned. Debbie Stern, AJL VP for Publications Mordecai M. They are thinking of automating, but need advice. While I know this question has been posted many times before, (and I checked out the AJL Wiki on the subject), I wonder if there is more recent and detailed info I can provide. The Wiki is from 2001 and is simply a listing of library automation companies without commentary. We use ResourceMate and so I can comment on my experience, but I wondering if anyone else can suggest programs suitable for a small library and share his/her experiences.
