To: Hasfran When Ellen Cole was our AJLSC President in 2003, she compiled A Bibliography of Jews in Sports. Here is the citation on the Resources and Links page of our AJLSC website:
> AJLSC: A Bibliography of Jews in Sports: Books! Articles! Videos! for > Adults and Children. Designed by Ellen Cole. Arranged by Joel Tuchman. > April 2003. 24pp. Three sections: Books for Adults; Books for Children; > and Videos, Periodicals, and CD-Roms. Table of Contents, Key to [14 Local] > Institutions Holding Titles, and Index of 22 different sports careers. > Professionally bound. Free to AJLSC members. There are 64 titles for adults and 36 titles for children, many from the Sinai Temple Blumenthal Library (Lisa Silverman, Library Director; Joel Tuchman, Cataloger), and 29 bibliographies of Videos, Periodicals, and CD-ROMs from 14 local library institutions. There is also a 2-page Index arranged alphabetically by sport. Our current AJLSC President, Judy Cohn, thought this might be useful, even though it is somewhat "old" by now. I finally reached Ellen Cole for comments (she's in the power-outage area of the east coast). Ellen says she has updates to this list, especially on women and runners, and will add them when she gets home and back to work in August. If anyone should go to our AJLSC website (http://www.ajlsc.org), please know that we're in the process of updating our website, including repairing some links, reorganizing, adding photos, and putting many older items in our archives.
