Dear Members of the Association of Jewish Libraries, We were very saddened to receive this message from the son of Grace Friedman.
Grace was a long time member of AJL and one of the founding members of AJLSC. She's an AJLSC Past President and currently served as Member-at-Large. For many years, she was Religious School Librarian at Adat Ari El (North Hollywood), and President of the Friends of the Fairfax Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library. Throughout the years, Grace was at our meetings, events, and AJL conventions. She helped whenever needed and cared deeply about Judaic librarianship. She was very supportive of our group. She will be missed! May her memory be for a blessing. She enjoyed 94 good years of activity and health; the last couple of years have been challenging. My family and I are grateful for the kindness you have shown Mom over the years, each of you in your own way. The funeral will be held at: Beth Olam Cemetery (Hollywood Forever) in Hollywood, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. (near Gower St.), L. A. 90038 on Tuesday, August 21 at 3:00PM.
