Since the first publication of the Elazar Classification System in the
1960's, the AJL, as an organization, has had an unwritten anti-Elazar
policy. However many members of AJL over the years have given encouragement
and support to the Elazar project as many Judaica libraries large and small
are successfully using the System.
The catalyst for me writing this message is the current AJL website which
doesn't mention the System and/or include a link to the System's website.
