The Itchy Shabbos by Bracha Goetz is about a family that is visited by a swarm of mosquitoes on Shabbos. The young narrator is naturally unhappy about the situation, but comes to terms with the reality of it. When the family does so, the mosquitoes make their exit. I haven't seen the book in years, and it's unfortunately out of print (but is through alibris and amazon), but I remember enjoying it with my kids when they were young.

One of our early childhood educators is teaching a class on nature and Judaism for kindergarteners and 1st graders. The topic: Why did God make mosquitoes? She has a short story which she can retell in an age appropriate way, but I was wondering if there might be a children's book on the subject. There are a number of books about Tu b’Shevat and trees etc. but anything like the mosquitos/insects? Any help is much appreciated!
