The graphic novel, "Lily Renee, Escape Artist" is the true and remarkable story of a young woman who was a Kindertransport child and went on to become a pioneer comic book artist in the United States, one of the first women in this industry-- and a Jewish one at that! Terrific book for ages 10-14. Lily Renee is still alive and in her 90s and living in New York City.

Voorhoeve? It is a fictionalized account of the kindertransport program during WWII. Ever since Sara's Key, I have been wary of certain fictionalized accounts of WWII events. A non-Jewish school librarian thinks it is well done and wants to order this for her school library. I have not read it yet. Please let me know your thoughts on the book.
