Also, if I'm not mistaken, Michelle Chesner from Columbia had a similar question on this list a couple of years ago, when she had to come up with a list for her collection. I copy her here as well. My question is: Even though I have an idea of what the core rabbinic collection ought to look like (based on my experience of working in Judaic collections and personal learning) and could develop and ad hoc list, I would like to know if a list of core rabbinic titles has ever been published?
