Possibilities:

Mitchell Bard has a text for students:

It's called: Israel Matters: Understand the Past, Look to the Future. It's c
2012. Emphasis is on the modern State, covering events up to the release of
Gilad Shalit. It includes a list 25 discussion questions and learning
activities and is for students in grades 8 and above.

You can supplement it with: Israel: Repairing the World (also 2012) and written
by a rabbi named Stephen Wise. It emphasizes Israel's scientific and other
accomplishments in medicine, conservation, technology, humanitarian aid, etc.
It has a guide w/ lesson plans to accompany the book.

The Israel Up Close video series has detailed lesson plans to accompany many of
the videos (each video is 10 min. or so).

Hi, Everyone - Although this is not exactly a curriculum response, I would
like to highly recommend a book (for ages 12+) that can be used for independent
reading or over a period of time, a curriculum in itself.

The book is Hope for the Holy Land by Mona Pastroff Goldstein. This book tells
the history of modern Israel from 1948 to recent times through the eyes of a
Jewish family and their Arab friends, ~ and we experience the confrontations
and battles they face in pursuit of peace with their neighbors. There’s an
extensive Teachers’ Guide, as well as a glossary and time-line of events – many
areas to trigger strong questions and deep thinking.

Hope for the Holy Land can be purchased on Amazon or contact the author,
Mona Goldstein – [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> . She was with the
Miami-Dade County Public Schools for over 30 years as a classroom teacher,
volunteer coordinator, curriculum writer, assistant principal, and principal,
and now retired.

Subject: [ha-Safran] Israel Curriculum

Hi all,

My school is in the process of redesigning our Israel curriculum and I was
wondering if any of the schools or synagogues on this list have an Israel
curriculum that they wouldn't mind sharing. We are a pluralistic Jewish high
school, so anything that is aimed for teens would be helpful.

Thanks so much,

Stacy
