Hi all, First, I am encouraged by the outpour of support from AJL members, mostly unfamiliar to me, who stepped out of the shadows and made helpful suggestions. This is incredible, and I only regret having to spend so much energy on responding to bullies and detractors, instead of investing in programs. Second, I think it's time to stop perfecting the document - I put it together in a short time, incorporated some earlier amendments, and now I say, Dayeinu. Let's focus on reaching out to our allies at ALA and to its officers, as well as to friends outside ALA who can give us some good points. So to all of you who plan to attend the ALA Council meeting - thanks for putting yourselves in the line of fire. Sometimes just showing up is enough, sometimes pushing back is necessary. And finally, to all of you who responded with support and suggestions - I hope you plan to attend our conference in DC this year.
