Sinai Akiba Academy is looking to hire a day school library assistant to begin work on August 24th.
Job Description: Sorting and shelving library materials, maintaining orderly materials collections, responding to questions from public by directing them to proper source for assistance, entering cataloging information into library database, covering, labeling and general processing of library materials. Must be accurate in shelving and sorting in alphabetical and decimal number order. Answering phone, checking-in and out library materials, giving basic assistance to students and other patrons, and supervising children after school while they are in the library. Daily 45 minute lunch supervision duties for K - 8 students. Physical requirements include bending and lifting. 24 hrs/week: Monday - Thursday 11:00 - 5:30 pm. Starting August 24th through June 10, 2016. Compensation $15.00 an hour and subsidized health benefits. (All Jewish and secular holidays paid days off.) Qualifications: Age 18+. Library, bookstore, or school experience with children highly preferred.
