I heartily second the recommendation; Sir Gilbert's map guides are excellent teaching tools.

Although it is set up as an Atlas there is a wealth of information on Jewish settlement, migration and movement. It is also a great way to teach map reading skills and children of all ages, especially 3rd and 4th graders love the interactive lesson of learning through reading these excellent maps. I have used this book often which was recently reprinted. I would really appreciate any suggestions you may have for material as what I have thus far seen is of a higher reading/comprehension level. Thank you!
