I still carry MOMENT, THE FORWARD, JEWISH REVIEW OF BOOKS, REFORM JUDAISM,
the local Jewish weekly, our synagogue newsletter and a few other magazines
-- not all titles come to mind right now. They are definitely a "lure" into
the library - I have them on a stand-up rack just inside the entrance,
visible through the front window - and I don't foresee a time when we won't
want these hard copies. On Sunday mornings during religious school I have a
few scattered on tables where parents sit and have coffee and a bagel, and I
know they are read. Links to the online versions are available, but I know
people - yes mostly middle-aged and older folks -- enjoy the magazines.

(Betsy, if you'd like me to send you the full list of which ones I carry,
just let me know.)

Subject: [ha-Safran] Magazines and Newspapers?

Does anyone carry Jewish magazines and newspapers in their libraries at this
point? Is there much demand for them? If so, which ones?

We're a small congregational library that hasn't carried them for several
years now. We're moving into a new facility and reconsidering this. A few
members have suggested that it might be nice to have a few "lying around,"
but otherwise there isn't much demand that I can tell.

Any suggestions as to which ones to offer, or alternate electronic resources
to link to, would be most welcome!

Thanks -
