My name is Kelly Cohen and I am the Lower School Judaic Studies Coordinator at The Davis Academy in Atlanta, GA. I have recently embarked on a project to sort picture books by parsha. This was motivated both by my professional interests and a desire to teach my own son, age 4, Torah stories. I was surprised that this list does not exist and am excited by the interest this project has already received. I am specifically looking for books that deal with p'shat (simple telling of the story as it appears in the text) and drash (creative retellings or additions to the Biblical text) of the parsha, and not in books that are related to the parsha by values or theme.
