Wow - this is a great resource, Kelly! Attached is the spreadsheet that we use for Tot Shabbat. Each week, I pull a book that relates to the parashah (or the appropriate holiday) for the service leader to read during our weekly Shabbat service for families with children in 1st grade & younger. Sometimes there just isn't an appropriate book so we'll just use one of my favorite Shabbat or Jewish stories. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions or can't decipher my notes!

I have recently embarked on a project to sort picture books by parsha. This was motivated both by my professional interests and a desire to teach my own son, age 4, Torah stories. I was surprised that this list does not exist and am excited by the interest this project has already received. I am specifically looking for books that deal with p'shat (simple telling of the story as it appears in the text) and drash (creative retellings or additions to the Biblical text) of the parsha, and not in books that are related to the parsha by values or theme. I would love to draw on the extensive knowledge and experience of this group to help populate my list. You can find the spreadsheet here: http://bit.ly/2fhhF24. I believe this is only the beginning phase of this project and I look forward to seeing the ways in which it grows and develops. Thank you in advance for your support.
